Vol Navy

For years, football fans have traveled on their boats to Neyland Stadium and rafted out with fellow fans or foes.  You just never know who will see there, ready to support their team from the water.

Neyland Stadium is a rare place, as it's one of the few you can travel to by boat and only be a couple hundred yards away.  There is nothing like the energy of the boaters, "sailgating" before the game, strategizing to cheer their team to victory.

Sara, the kids and I traveled up for the TN vs AL game last Saturday.  Knowing that AL would probably win, this didn't seem to damper anyones spirt.  The docks were as full as I have ever seen, with boat and yachts from all over the southeast.  This was Landon's Birthday, and he wanted to go and see all the different types of boats and do some boat hopping.  We saw many friends and met some new ones.  What a beautiful day it was.

If you ever have dreams of making the trip, Sara and I are already planning for next year, send us a line, and GO VOLS!

Chattanooga's Waterfront

Chattanooga's Waterfront is so unique for an inland city.  We generally travel down by boat and spend a couple nights on the Bluff Dock.  You always meet new people traveling through and they are eager to hear about your travels along with listening to theirs.  The exchange is always interesting and helpful.  The kids love sliding down the grassy hill on cardboard, climbing at High Point, breakfast at Maple Street Biscuit Company, and of course ice cream at Ben and Jerry's.  It's fun to be a tourist in your own town.  The Sea Ray 400 gives us that option to move around and enjoy new experiences with our family and friends.  This past trip we traveled down with three other boats and families.  One of them hired us a sitter for the kiddos, and the adults headed to Main Street via Uber.  We landed at the Flying Squirrel, where we had to best dinning experience. From the food, to music, to atmosphere; just a relaxing time.

Next time you think about traveling this way, call us on the VHF "Real Deal" and see if we are around.  Always looking to here about new experiences.
